Travel Across the Vines

The Doyenne des Vignes Route

Leave your bags at La Maison Bleue de Dunham, then hop on your bike and head out for an immersion into the heart of the Townships’ wine culture. You’ll pass through the lovely towns of Frelighsburg and Dunham, where you’ll inevitably want to stop and visit a boutique or enjoy a cup of coffee. On this 75 km loop, you’ll also follow the Chemin St-Armand, a legendary (extraordinarily beautiful) route, popular with cyclists. Looking for a bit of a challenge? Test your legs on the Joy Hill climb, on Richford Road, just outside Frelighsburg. Note that this route has a number of climbs that require strong calves, but the promise of a new discovery at every stop is the best motivation of all.
