Collection Louis-Émile-Beauregard

A self-taught woodcarver, Louis-Émile Beauregard is a native and lifelong resident of Dudswell. It was at the age of 55, in 1978, that he began his collection of wooden models depicting scenes of rural life from the 1920s to the 1940s. His legacy is an impressive body of work of extraordinary precision, comprising 64 models, all to scale. The artist devoted between 40 and 500 hours to each work. The Louis-Émile Beauregard collection is open to the public from June 24 to Labour Day, and by reservation the rest of the year.
