Ice fishing

Catching fish in the winter wonderland of the Eastern Townships is a unique experience! Ice fishing enthusiasts will find commercial services for practising the sport, through two tourism-related services. You can also fish on several lakes in the region, including lakes Memphremagog, Massawippi and Magog, among others, although no service infrastructure is there to support the activity. Quebec sport-fishing regulations apply regardless of where you fish. Furthermore, public access is limited and public ice fishing is done at your own risk.

To avoid problems and to learn more about different possibilities for ice fishing, contact the tourism information office nearest you, or call Tourisme Cantons de l'Est directly at 1 800 355-5755.
