15 Campgrounds to Discover this Summer

Camping is one of the best ways to discover a region and these 15 gorgeous campgrounds are fabulous spots to do just that in the Eastern Townships. Consider this your invitation to pitch a tent, rent a refuge, chalet, yurt or any other off-the-beaten-path accommodations and make this summer your most adventurous one yet.

NB Due to Covid-19, certain politics apply to provide you a safe environment. Make sure to take note of those politics and, most of all, have a great camping season!


Camping Aventure Mégantic

Open since 2015, this family-friendly campground offers full services and facilities under a dazzling starlit sky!

Nearby: Town of Lac-Mégantic, Microbrasserie La Garnison microbrewery, Summit Drive, Mount Scotch Cap.

Station touristique Baie-des-Sables

This property is as expansive as it is beautiful: The ultimate playground for lovers of the great outdoors. Take advantage of the beach, rent a boat, go for a hike… Happiness guaranteed!

Camping du Lac Lyster

Tranquility and privacy, that's what the sites (with or without service) of this campground, located on a wooded area of 60 acres, offer you. You prefer more comfort? No problem! 13 prospector-style tents and 12 ready-to-camp mini-cabins are available for rental. From the site, you can also have exclusive access to Mont Séguin, which offers a breathtaking view on the Lyster lake and the mount Pinacle.

Camping de Compton

With two pools, giant football, golf course, hiking trails, playground equipment and an outdoor gym, Camping de Compton has something for the entire family.

Camping du Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook

Camping Melbourne

Camping Melbourne is worth a visit if just for the fun of swimming in a lagoon pool! Established in Richmond, in a friendly forest setting, this family-run campground offers a wide range of campsites, as well as various ready-to-camp options, chalets and even an inn. So, whatever type of stay you prefer, you'll find what you're looking for here. And, let's not forget the many events and entertainments that liven up the summer season and enhance your camping experience!

Camping Magog Orford

If you like a well-organized campground boasting an array of activities, installations for little ones and a ton of amenities to provide creature comforts, this is the place for you.

Camping Rustique Orford

Tucked in the forest of Orford, this small eco-friendly campground, formerly known as Camping Au Conte Dormant, offers a lot of intimacy with nature. If you want to slow down and take a breather from life’s hectic pace, this is the place to be.

Camping de la rivière Nicolet

This spot is extra-charming, most notably because of its proximity to the river. In fact, in the summertime, you can rent kayak, canoe or inner tubes to make the most of its plum location near the water. Andlet's not forget the enchanted forest (escape games in the forest), the mini-farm and the water games!

Camping Nature Plein Air

Located in the stunning setting of Mansonville, this campground is a veritable oasis for visitors looking to fuel up on greenery, water, mountains, forest and tranquility. The natural lake is the perfect place to enjoy a dip! In need for adventure? Go tubing down the river; take a hike; kayak, canoe or paddle board down the river; or hit the disc golf course! You’ll be smitten.

Au Diable Vert, Station de montagne

Surrounded by the Green Mountains of Vermont, Au diable vert looks out over the scenic Missisquoi Valley. This unique resort offers numerous activities and a range of different accommodations. There is a farm with shaggy-coated Highland cattle – a big hit with small fry!

Camping La Mine de Cuivre

Located in Eastman, this campground offers wooded or non-wooded sites ranging from zero to three services that will be the perfect base camp to explore and enjoy the many activities to do in the surrounding area.
