This winter, the Musée de l’ingéniosité J. Armand Bombardier is inviting you to a unique experience combining innovation, history and Holiday magic!
From December 21 until January 5, the museum lobby will be transformed into a giant cardboard village called Cartonville! This fun activity will have your children set their imagination free to build an enchanting world inspired by the spirit of the Holidays! With cardboard, scissors, some tape (and a healthy dose of creativity), your youngsters will design colourful houses, sleighs, decorated fir trees, snowmen, or whatever they’ll dream up! A true creative and sharing moment that will highlight the season for small and tall alike!
As you visit the museum, delve deeper inside Joseph-Armand Bombardier’s fascinating accomplishments. Indeed, this Québec inventor left his mark on the world with his revolutionary vehicles. You’ll discover his incredible story through several exhibitions and interactive experiences. Don’t miss the exhibition Theatre of objects, Passion as a way of life! Here, in the town of Valcourt, you’ll discover the story and the work accomplished by this visionary inventor in his very first garage, where everything began. Immerse yourself in his heritage through a multimedia show produced by Moment Factory, tracing a timeline starting with the Bombardier Ski-Doo snowmobile adventure to the company’s conquest of the skies.
End your visit with the temporary exhibition Along the Line—Workers’ Memories, where you’ll discover all there is to know about Bombardier and BRP’s assembly line production over the years. Travel back in time through four eras, and follow in the footsteps of former employees as they share their stories about these Québec industrial pioneers.
To enhance your experience, add a 45-minute guided tour of the museum’s reserve. You’ll discover over 70 unique vehicles, featuring original prototypes, limited production models, and, of course, the famous Ski-Doo® snowmobile. It’s your perfect opportunity to learn more about Joseph-Armand Bombardier’s early creations, including the first prototype he built at the age of 15!
