While your calves might not be up to an elite-level challenge like the Grand tour du Lac-Mégantic or Sherbrooke’s Coupe du Québec, it doesn’t mean that you wouldn’t enjoy some healthy competition on two wheels. Solution? These five races, which all feature a family-friendly component.
Calling all cyclists, young and old: Grab your bike and get moving at the Grand Défi de Granby. With the option to pedal 2.5, 15 or 45 kms, it's truly a family-friendly event, accessible to all cyclists. The only condition? Have fun along the way!

Think the Grand tour du Lac-Mégantic is solely for the pros? Think again! A 34 km route is easily accessible to all fitness levels, even those of us without rock-hard calves. Kids will get a kick from the race, too—not to mention the festive ambiance that reigns supreme the event! Expect music, entertainment, snacks, refreshments, and prize draws throughout the event! For those looking for more of a challenge, the full 53 km loop around the lake offers an intermediate-level ride. New this year: the Gran Fondo Lac-Mégantic, a 130 km competitive race around the lake!

If you have a few days off coming up, join the Gravel Bikepacking Challenge (GBC), a cycling event inviting adventure lovers to explore the Townships’ most beautiful country roads. Alone or with a partner, in total autonomy, within a timeframe of 4 days, you’ll need to complete one of the two possible routes: the 250 km, the 500 km and the brand-new 100 km course! In both cases, the landscapes are magnificent, the villages have plenty of charm, and you’ll discover loads of gourmet stops on the way!

The Eastern Townships Vélo Mag Challenge is inviting you to take on their untimed road cycling routes and gravel circuits ranging from 50 km to 150 km, all set in the Eastern Townships region. Just a little more patience to know the details of the routes... One thing is certain, the wonderful landscapes of the Cantons will pass by quickly or slowly, depending on how you pace yourself!

When? September 6, 2025
In Bromont and the surrounding region, you’re invited to head out and discover Lyne Bessette’s training routes. Between the paved and gravel roadways, you’ll be able to push back your limits as much as you wish on this 100 km circuit. You can also take your time as you admire the amazing landscapes on the 50km (new) and 70 km circuits. Good to know: a 25 km family itinerary has been added to the route options this year.
