Illuminated decorations, welcoming streets and sweet scents floating through the air... The Holiday Season conjures up all that’s wonderful to immerse yourself in its warm ambiance. From November 18 to January 9, 2024, the Sherbrooke region will be donning its most beautiful seasonal colours to invite you to its Holiday Season festivities with a host of truly magical activities.
Whether it’s time just for a souvenir photo, to whisper to him the present of their dreams or to shyly observe him from afar, the youngest ones will be delighted to meet Santa Claus in Sherbrooke. This year, he’ll be at the Carrefour de l’Estrie starting November 18, and along with Mrs. Claus at the Marché de la Gare on the same date.
Another not-to-be-missed event is Sherbrooke’s Santa Claus Parade! The merry procession will start out from the École de la Montée at 3:00 p.m., ending its route in the city centre to the sound of music and cheerful laughter. All this in good time to see the big Christmas tree being lit up during the event scheduled for November 26, 2023.
Take advantage of the Holiday Season to plan some magic-filled weekend family outings.
Every weekend from November 18 to December 17, 2023, you’ll find over 60 exhibitors at Sherbrooke’s Marché de la Gare during the city’s local Christmas market. From crafts to our terroir products, you’ll always find great ideas to garnish your Holiday table or to give your loved ones. Musical and festive entertainment awaits, as well as an enchanted forest. As you stroll about, warm your hands with a hot drink and don’t forget to say hello to Mrs. Claus and Santa Claus.
Then, from December 7 to December 31, 2023, get everyone in the car for a mini road trip to find the city’s most beautiful illuminated homes! Open the Balade Scintillante interactive map, choose a route or create your own, select one of their Christmas music playlists and drive through the greater Sherbrooke area to discover some of the city’s most majestic outdoor decorations. A truly magical outing!
Lead an investigation in Sherbrooke’s CentrÔville! Mischievous elves have hidden themselves in the city’s boutiques and landmarks. They’ve left a trail of letters along the way, so you can solve the big mystery word puzzle and also have a chance to win one of the many prizes. Along the route, take the opportunity to discover or rediscover the city’s downtown boutiques. You might just find a few more gift ideas!
The game couldn’t be easier to play! The activity is available online from December 8, 2023, to January 8, 2024. More traditional detectives will be delighted to know that there’s also a paper version of the investigation. To start playing, simply go to the first designated point. An original, fun activity for the entire family!
