This year, come and spend the Holiday Season in the heart of the Coaticook Valley! With its many outdoor activities and its warm and delicious culinary offer, this Eastern Townships region radiates a truly friendly and welcoming ambiance. It’s the perfect venue to fill up on memories and wonderful moments with your family or a loving partner!
Unmissable activity this season, Christmas markets are a regular feature of the Coaticook Valley Holiday Season. With their stalls filled with artisanal creations and local flavours, these markets are the ideal place to explore and discover little treasures to slip under the Christmas tree.
Here are 4 Not-to-Be-Missed Christmas Markets in the Coaticook Region:
• The Pavillon des arts de Coaticook | November 9 and 10, 2024 | From 10:00 a.m. to 4 :00 p.m.
• In the heart of the hamlet, the Way’s Mills Christmas Market| November 23 and 24, 2024 | from 10:00 a.m. to 4 :00 p.m. (with 5 stations spread across the village)
• In the greenhouse of the Jardin Dansereau gardening centre | November 30 and December 1, 2024
• At the Musée Beaulne | December 7 and December 8, 2024
A treat for both your eyes and your taste buds, Coaticook Valley’s gastronomic boutiques are brimming with gift ideas. Located in downtown Coaticook, discover the delicious world of Le Petit Chaperon Rouge. Its high-end, handcrafted products and condiments are a must for enhancing your Holiday table! And let’s not forget their very original gourmet baskets, a joy to give as well as to receive.
As for Compton, the family Cheese factory, La Station proposes a counter filled with 100% local products where you’ll be awed by all the regional artisans’ know-how as well as delicious cheeses created onsite. For those who enjoy celebrating the end of the year with a raclette, hurry to the Eastern Townships and discover La Station’s raclette cheese. Simply amazing!
For a day or a longer stay, the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook is the ideal destination for spending some unique moments with your family or with your friends. From December onwards, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland, offering a wide range of outdoor activities. All new! Discover disc golf, which combines Frisbee and golf. Looking for a bit of fun? Take on the Liéri challenge, a special outdoor escape and adventure game.
For a more leisurely outing, head out on one of the 3 hiking trails, explore 21 km of snowshoeing trails, or rent a snow scooter to discover the winter landscapes from a different perspective. For those who enjoy cycling on snow, over 17 km of trails are dedicated to fatbikes. Children (and adults!) will also love a visit to Margaret’s Farm, where the Park’s animals will warmly greet you. Dogs are welcome to share these family moments as well!
And if you want to extend the experience, our winter campgrounds offer a range of cozy options: fully-equipped cottages and ready-to-camp units, ideal for an enchanting Christmas getaway in the heart of nature. In February, don’t miss the special program for even more winter adventures at the Parc de la Gorge de Coaticook and the Parc Découverte Nature!
