Head Out on the Traverse des Townships

From the Brome Lake area, you’ll head out on a 47 km long gravel road. This itinerary, which follows an old stagecoach route, will take you away from traffic and across a magnificent natural landscape. You’ll have plenty of time to discover some of the lesser-known parts of the region. With an elevation gain of 506 m, this route has a number of good climbs and descents to give your legs a good workout!

This second day begins with some driving to get to the starting point of your cycling route (about a 50-minute trip). On the way, stop at the Fromagerie Nouvelle France in Racine. This is where they make the Zacharie Cloutier, voted best cheese in Québec in 2023!

Explore the Entre monts et rivières Bicycle Circuit

This long 89 km loop, with a 603 m elevation gain, will take you through seven different municipalities in the Val Saint-François region, including Richmond, Windsor and Melbourne. You’ll be cycling along both bucolic gravel roads and a bike path alongside the magnificent Rivière Saint-François. A few challenging climbs, including one with a gradient of over 10%, will satisfy your craving to push yourself to the limit. Don’t forget to take a few breaks at the viewpoints overlooking the mountains or at the cycling stops by the river. Psst! You can also complete this loop over two days by staying overnight at the Des Baies campground or the Pura Vida Lodge and Sup (certified Bienvenue cyclistes!).
