Another point of view… by the water

Lovers of water sports and contemplative activities will appreciate the view. Territory surrounded by majestic lakes: Memphrémagog, Mégantic or Massawippi and beautiful rivers such as the Saint-François, Magog or Missisquoi... water is part of our landscape.

Sail away small and big boats

Whether on a pontoon, pirogue, sailboat or aboard the Grand Cru, the view changes and the type of boat chosen enhances the nautical experience. For an exotic or gastronomic cruise or a trip on the water to the rhythm of the winds.

By rowboat, canoe, kayak or pedal boat, stay still or paddle slowly to hear nature and surprise her in her romps... Nothing is simpler than to rent boats in the region.

Suggestions for more discoveries...

To discover Sherbrooke's nature, follow the Corridor bleu. Two routes are available: one 16.5 km on the Saint-François River and the other 14 km on the Magog River... An original way to unravel the mysteries of the city... from the water.

Fishing enthusiasts, be aware that salmonids, trout, bullfrogs and other species inhabit our lakes and rivers. All you have to do is stretch the line in one of these seven places!

To observe nature up close and watch it in the company of a variety of birds, nothing beats a walk in the marshes. Opt for the Rivière aux Cerises or the Centre d’interprétation de la nature du Lac Boivin.

For a total immersion in nature, visit our four national parks: Frontenac, Mont-Mégantic, Mont-Orford and Yamaska, which are bordered or crossed by lakes and rivers.

Why not take a dip?

To refresh you or to spend the day, the Townships are full of municipal beaches, a wide variety of campsites of all kinds, recreational tourism complexes, regional parks, etc. that offer safe and beautifully landscaped swimming areas close to services. For the midnight bath... it's your business.
