A panoply of Christmas markets, culinary gatherings in exceptional vineyards and a full list of fun family activities... Experience the magic of the Holidays from an Eastern Townships perspective!

Enjoy the Splendour of the Brome-Missisquoi Christmas Markets

From the end of November until mid-December, the entire region is bustling with activity to the beat of its Christmas markets. You’ll find each one more enchanting than the last! Come and meet the many local designers, artisans and producers, and fill your shopping bags with the most original gifts.

This year, experience a greener Holiday Season when you shop at Dunham’s Marché de Noël des Pas Pressés. Here all the exhibitors have been carefully selected to showcase their eco-friendly, people-friendly creations.

For a touch of whimsy, the Midnight Madness event in the town of Brome Lake is a must! On this magical evening, the town’s streets and businesses light up to immerse visitors in a totally festive ambiance.

You’ll discover each market has its own special features, so be sure to warm up at one of the region’s other Christmas markets. You’ll find Frelighsburg’s Market inside a heritage church! The one in Farnham is perfect for toasting some marshmallows, and the Bedford Lofts offers a venue that will attract the curious with its modern ambiance within the walls of an old factory! And don’t forget the ones in Bromont, Cowansville and Sutton, which are definitely not to be missed!

Offer Yourself a Special Outing on the Wine Route in December

Who said vineyards were all closed in winter? Dear epicurean friends, on December 7 and 14 2024, we invite you to experience two very special days on our Route des vins.

Discover the vineyards’ December Wine Trail event! Experience the magic of the Holidays in the heart of snow-covered vineyards by following one of 3 itineraries designed especially for the Season.

On site, bundled up in your winter clothes, come and enjoy a wide range of activities to warm both your body and your soul: guided winter tours, wine and food pairings, culinary treats, mulled wine, guided tastings, cocktails, outdoor fireplaces, a craft fair, gift baskets... Indeed, you’ll experience all the great features of a day at the vineyard combined with the festive spirit of the Holiday Season during this not-to-be-missed gastronomic event in the Brome-Missisquoi region!

Endless Family fun Throughout the Holidays

Promising some truly memorable family getaways, you’ll always find plenty of ideas for outings in the heart of Brome-Missisquoi during the Holiday Season. A must: take your children to pick the tree of their dreams at one of the region’s three Christmas tree plantations.

The Domaine des Nobles Alpagas and Alpagas Sutton also offer farm visits, even in winter. It’s hard not to fall in love with these animals’ fluffy coats and gentle gazes. Psst... A good idea to slip under the Christmas tree: a pair of socks made from alpaca wool!

Then, for its warm, and friendly ambiance, the Little Book Fair at the Sutton School of Art is well worth a visit. Authors and illustrators from all over the Eastern Townships will be on hand at this literary event, open to all, from December 7 to December 15, 2024.

And of course, for a magical night out: the Garden of Magic Lanterns in the town of Brome Lake and the Noël aux flambeaux torchlight event in Farnham are two other fun Holiday traditions to experience in the region.
