A fresh take on cycling vacations

“Slow travel” has become very popular in recent years, not just as a mode of getting from one place to another, but also as a state of mind. Travelling in a more meditative manner (in stark contrast to mass travel), taking in the sights and sounds of nature, is something that fits the Eastern Townships to a tee, given its picturesque landscapes and its multitude of bike trails.

During the month of June, why not tour around by bike - for a weekend or longer? Sample slow travel for yourself from the back of a saddle and stop along the way to sample the region’s culture, food and summer celebrations!

One of the most pleasant bike routes is the 235-km Véloroute Gourmande, which links Montreal to Sherbrooke. Some 130 gourmet stops are dotted along the route.

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay, book into one of our 6 ready-to-camp accommodations, which, like slow travel itself, are becoming very popular with tourists seeking a vacation with a difference!

If you have a passion for golf
