A very tantalizing tourist circuit is coming soon in the Vallée de la Coaticook region... On October 7 and 8, 2023, more than 50 producers and artisans will be welcoming you during the Virée gourmande des Comptonales event celebrating the region’s abundant harvest. Nestled in the magnificent countryside of Compton, this gourmet festival includes a tour of several agritourism destinations such as La Station Cheese Factory, the Cidrerie de Compton, the Verger Le Gros Pierre, the Érablière du Village and the Domaine Ives Hill. Indeed, from 10 a.m to 5 p.m, at each of these sites, you’ll be invited to taste some of the area producers’ culinary creations.
Musicians, artisans and activities for children will also be on the program to entertain you as well!
Good to know: to easily travel from one gourmet destination to the next, you can use the free shuttles.
There are two ways to purchase a package: in advance on the Comptonales website, or in person on the days of the event, directly at the ticket booths. Note that when you buy your ticket, you can choose the number of tasting coupons you want (between 8 and 104). You can pick up your tasting coupons on site at one of the ticket offices.
Once again this year, children aged 12 and under can enter free of charge, in addition to obtaining five tasting coupons. New this year: teenagers aged 13 to 17 get their passes at half price.
Until October 6, passes are 50% off. You'll automatically be eligible for the Win Your Purchase contest, and you'll avoid line-ups at the event.
Tasting prices range from 1 to 4 coupons.
The number of 24 coupons has been defined as the ideal number to start your day. However, you can purchase additional coupons on the spot during your tour.
To conclude the public market season in style, more than 25 producers and processors will welcome you on Monday, October 9, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. for the Grand Marché des Récoltes. Established in the heart of the village of Compton in the Parc des Lions, this last public market of the season offers visitors an excellent opportunity to stock up on delicious local products just in time, before the cold season sets in. Vegetables, fruits, meats, pastries, cheeses and sweet treats will certainly be among your purchases! So, why don’t we meet here for a last tasting?
