Sherbrooke - Parc du Bois-Beckett

Sherbrooke - Urban walks

Beckett Woods Park is an old maple grove and beech forest covering a surface area of 70 hectares, which is also home to clumps of hemlock and 30 other tree species. The forest is so old that some believe the oldest tree to be about 300 years old. The Ministère des Ressources naturelles et de la Faune has recognized Bois Beckett as an old-growth forest. A total of 103 bird species make it their home and ornithologists from across Quebec meet here every year. The eight marked trails are the perfect place for a family hike.
