Lac-Brome (Knowlton)

The Town of Brome Lake is composed of seven villages. The elegant Victorian village of Knowlton is famous for its Loyalist roots and outstanding built heritage. Auberge Knowlton prides itself on being the oldest inn in the Eastern Townships, in operation since 1849. The Historical Society’s museum and children’s museum, and the heritage tour reflect the prosperity of yesteryear. The village core, which is decorated with lights every December, features Coldbrook Park; antique shops; Theatre Lac-Brome featuring English- and French-language performances. Agricultural tourism is also prevalent, with the renowned Brome Lake Ducks farm.
