Saint-Claude

Colonists, most of them French-Canadian, began arriving here after 1880. In 1891, the parish was founded and named Saint-Claude after Abbey Claude, who in the 17th century lived in the monastery of St. Eugendus in Jura. The municipality of Saint-Claude was created in 1912. Saint-Claude is a harmonious blend of nature, given its agricultural sector and its vacation sector featuring Boissonneault Lake. The many services offered and the hospitality of its residents make Saint-Claude a great place to live.
